Ancient egypt
Our first unit has begun and we are learning all about the customs/beliefs, farming technology/practices, clothing, diet, etc. of the citizens of Ancient Egypt. Here are three awesome websites that we have been exploring in class:

We used this website to learn more about all of the various Gods that the Egyptians worshipped.

We used this website to study the mummification process.

We used this website to study an interactive timeline.

Social Pyramid
Below, is a social pyramid that we have been referring to in class on a regular basis. We have been studying the differences (duties/responsibilities, food consumed, clothing/appearance) of the individual classes.

The students have been working with a partner to create either a Bristol board or a PowerPoint presentation on a various topic specifically related to Ancient Egypt. These topics include:
1) Gods and Goddesses
2) Farming
3) Animals
4) Social Pyramid
5) Hieroglyphics
6) Mining
7) Mummification Process
8) Pyramids
9) Mystery of King Tut
Their projects are due Wednesday, November 26th.
If your child brings home a USB, could you please remind him/her that other projects could be saved on this device. That being said, they need to bring the USB back to school the very next day.
