Personality Traits
The students will be using the website www.tagul.com to create a design. They will list their personality traits and select an image that best represents them. My example is to the right ---->
Fall Leaves
The students used block tempera paint to create these beautiful leaves.
Field of pumpkins
The students used red, yellow and orange Crayola markers to colour the pumpkins and then they took a paint brush and applied water to their field. It blended the colours together. They then used block tempera paint to fill in their background (sky).
Ancient egyptian funerary masks
The students will be painting their masks Monday, November 24th.
Christmas ornaments
winter wonderland
These paintings were created by taking one colour and then mixing it with white, creating a tint. They also mixed this one colour with black, creating a shade. The students also examined perspective; painting larger trees in the foreground and smaller trees in the background gives the illusion of depth.
VALENTINE'S DAY PASTEL HEARTS
The hearts were created using pastels and the background was created using block tempera paint.
monochromatic shape
The students chose one shape as the centre of their artwork. They then drew rectangles of various sizes. Next, they selected one colour and mixed it with white, creating various tints.
