Today, February 10th, has been designated Safer Internet Day. During the week of February 8th – 12th, your child will participate in an Internet Safety Presentation.
The internet has changed the way we communicate. With this change comes a new set of precautions of which students need to be aware. This includes how to remain safe online and an awareness of the risks involved in sharing photos, videos, or personal information whether it’s via a computer, a game console, a tablet, or a cell phone.
We encourage you to take some time to discuss with your child the information they received. By having these discussions at home, you will help reinforce important safety strategies learned at school and ensure your child is better prepared to properly deal with difficult situations she/he may encounter.
